SPACE FOR LEARNING, CREATIVITY, AND PLAY

Follow the Child Montessori School is housed in a one-story structure just off of Harden Road in Raleigh, which opened in 2016.

Designed to have ready access to an open Outdoor Learning Environment (created by the Natural Learning Initiative at North Carolina State University), the building contains ten classrooms for all four age levels — Toddler House, Children’s House, and Lower and Upper Elementary, plus a Multi-Purpose Room, Art Room, and administrative offices.

The Outdoor Learning Environment consists of a variety of play and learning areas that foster imagination and development for the children, including climbing areas, bars, sand play areas, a learning greenhouse, and gardens (vegetables and herbs are grown and harvested by the children and some are donated to Plant-a-Row for the Hungry.)
